Held just after the shift of daylight savings and in the quiet stillness before the Spring Equinox, Desert Bloom offers a gentle pause and the space to reset, reconnect, and consciously step into the new season.

Anza-Borrego isn’t just a breathtaking backdrop, it holds deep human history. For thousands of years this region has been home to Indigenous peoples, including the Kumeyaay and Cahuilla, whose seasonal cycles of gathering, living, and movement were shaped by the rhythms of desert life. The land carries the echoes of their presence in ancient village sites, rock art, and enduring desert ecology.

Playa Viva located in Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, is a regenerative, off-grid eco-luxury resort powered by the sun and held by acres of protected coastline, nestled between the Sierra Madre mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Wake up to the sounds of ocean waves and tropical birdsong, practice in open-air oceanfront shalas, and enjoy farm-to-table meals crafted by chefs from local, organic foods. The land itself teaches reciprocity — from the on-site sea turtle sanctuary to Playa Viva’s B-Corp partnerships that uplift community and ecology alike.
